If you were not aware, the last two financial years has been very ordinary for new and used boat sales, however there are many signs that things might be finally starting to turn around due to the improvement in the AUD over the Euro, interest rates peaking, new policies detering investment into certain assets and a lot more second hand yachts reducing their asking price to meet the current market value.
Furthermore, there have been a number of new models from manufacturers that have arrived recently that have created a lot of renewed interest in sailing yachts and catamarans.
Our Excess 13 was extremely popular at the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show, and consequently we ended up doing more than 20 test sails with prospective buyers over the last few weeks at the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron.
YachtShare have also received enough deposits from buyers for a 1/10th share that will activate the boat into their fleet now, so if anyone is interested in buying one of the remaining shares, get it quick before they are all gone.
We will also be shipping our new Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 415 from France to Melbourne very soon, where it will arrive at Sandringham Yacht Club for commissioning late September and then can be sold into 2 x half shares for under $300,000, allowing the two owners to share the annual costs. If interested in an inspection or test sail, please let us know.
Finally, if you happen to be up in Brisbane mid July, the RQYS will be hosting a Winter Boat Expo where the Excess 13 and the new Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 455 will be on display along with many other boats.
