WOW! What a massive turn out of visitors and yachts at the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show last month. It was great to catch up with so many clients, friends, Jeanneau owners and especially our very special guest and You Tube star – Kristina Costalos who hung out with us onboard the Jeanneau Yachts 60 for most of the first day talking to everyone who came on board…
For those that could not make it, we are hoping to get both John and Kristina down to Melbourne for the Boat Show on the 19th October for the Australian premier of the Jeanneau Yachts 55, where it will be displayed alongside a brand new Sun Odyssey 490 and a 2023 Sun Odyssey 440 that might be listed for sale soon.
It has also been crazy for brokerage yacht sales over the last 8 weeks, with more offers and contracts being done during this period, than the last 8 months! Some of those sales include:
- 2021 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 349
- 2010 Benetau Oceanis 34
- 2008 Sydney 36CR
- 2007 Reichel Pugh Seaquest 36
- 2006 Wauquiez Pilot Saloon 41
- 2002 Beneteau Frist 36.7
- 2001 Bavaria 34
- 1995 Farr 38 IMS
- 1985 Carter 33
- 1985 Adams 40
- 1982 Gilcraft 27
Whilst almost every broker I talk to at the moment is saying the boat sales market is dead, I can only put these extraordinary sales down to 38 South Yacht Sales having a huge selection of brokerage yachts available at realistic market prices, along with highly knowledgeable and experienced sales staff like Chris Furey who listed and sold almost all of these yachts.
We have also had a very similar experience with selling new and used power boats at 38 South Boat Sales over the last 8 weeks, so this activity is across the board for us.
I am heading off to Phuket on Sunday for the annual Jeanneau conference, then off to France to check out all the new boat releases coming out over the next 12 months. Stay tuned!
