NOW SOLD - Melges 24 655 is a special Melges 24, professionally optimised to class tolerances and fitted with carbon race accessories for first owner, Ken Read of North Sails when built for him in 2006. At the 2009 Melges 24 Worlds in Annapolis, this boat was the overall winner with skipper Chris Larsen and crew proclaimed Melges 24 World Champions in one of the most hotly contested M24 class regattas ever seen. She followed that up with a solid 4th in the 2011 M24 Worlds as 'Hedgehog' ! Now available here in Melbourne, M24 655 comes complete and ready to race with a wealth of equipment, two complete sets of North class sails with all necessary sheets and control lines, new lifting straps, new jib cars, hiking straps, sundry tools and many spares. Her carbon mast is the latest M24 class model and she comes complete with all the rig tune, rake and polars settings to quickly get you up to speed. Class measurement certificates are available.

Maintained in excellent condition, she is stored on a custom single axle road trailer with fitted hull splashes and spar supports and can be trailer launched from a boat ramp or crane launched from a hardstand. The trailer is fitted with two large GRP equipment storage boxes so you have everything you need to race right at hand. She has a full set of road covers plus a regatta boom awning, full covers for rudder, tiller, vang, a cover for the furled jibs and more. The Suzuki 2.5 auxiliary outboard has recently been serviced.
