SOLD!!! Tucana is a beautifully presented and extremely well maintained 2008 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 50 Deck Saloon that is now for sale exclusively with 38 South Yacht Sales.

Currently berthed at RQYS in Manly, Brisbane, she has just completed a spectacular voyage up the East Coast of Australia, having been sailed from Melbourne to Lizard Island as documented on ‘Kristina’s Travels’ on YouTube. Tucana is a proven cruiser which has undergone around $70,000 dollars in extensive maintenance and refurbishment over the past 12 months and is in great shape for the fast approaching cruising season.

This owners version layout boasts a spacious forward owners cabin with an ensuite, vanity/desk, fly-screens and blinds on all hatches, hanging closet and an easy access linen storage compartment under the queen bed. For guests, there are two large double aft cabins with high ceilings (deck saloon) also fitted with hanging closets and extra cabinets for storage.

The saloon in generous and bright with plenty of natural light. The large deck saloon windows coupled with the deck skylight can also be closed off for privacy and sun protection. The smart TV is mounted on a swing bracket and there is plenty of seating surrounding the saloon table and separate settee. The champagne cabinet also has provisions to accommodate a washing machine if desired.

The full galley includes a large freezer and a top and front loading fridge, allowing easy dual access.

Sail handling is a breeze with three electric winches and twin wheel steering. The cockpit area is both large and practical with sufficient space for both lounging guests and active crew. All lines run aft to the cockpit to 1 x electric cabin top winch and there’s an enormous sail locker up at the bow. 

Instruments are by Raymarine and include a new Axiom Pro 12 inch touchscreen multi-function display in the cockpit, Class B AIS Transponder, ST 70 Multi's at the helms and ST70 linear drive Auto Pilot. The mainsail is near new (late 2020) and the Genoa has been serviced recently by Doyle Sails, Melbourne. Tucana also comes with a Doyle Gennaker with snuffer plus a storm jib on a separate removable inner-forestay. All standing rigging is new as of May 2021.
