As it happens every year, when the sun starts to come out of its winter hibernation down south, so does the enquiries and sales on new and used yachts.
Consequently Chris and Mark have been busy listing and showing a number of used yachts for sale on Port Phillip Bay, including a quite a few Beneteau Firsts.
Meanwhile I sold our first Excess 14 to a long term sailing friend in Melbourne who will be taking possesion of their new catamaran in France to sail around the Med for six months with his family. They will then join the ARC across the Atlantic to Saint Lucia for Christmas in the Caribbean, followed by the ‘Puddle Jump‘ across the Pacific to Tahiti, and then finally on to Brisbane where the boat will be on display and for sale at the 2027 Sanctuary Cove Boat Show.
If you have dreamed of sailing around the Med for the European summer or even sailing across the Pacific to avoid paying the shipping costs, then there is still time to order a new yacht or catamaran for next year and have the trip of a life time!
But if you are looking for something a bit smaller and closer to home, then make sure you head up to the Pittwater Sail Expo from the 24-26th October. It is free entry, and our NSW Jeanneau dealer will be displaying the new Sun Odyssey 350, the Sun Odyssey 380 and the Sun Fast 3300. Note that due to this new yachts only expo, there will be no yachts on display at the Sydney Boat Show in November.
